MEPs Seek Strict Business Taxation Rules

Canada, China, and India Sign OECD Tax Agreement

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development has announced that six new countries, including Canada, China, and India, have joined 33 others in signing an international agreement that promotes the automatic sharing of multinational corporations' tax information among jurisdictions around the world.

NGO Calls for States to Tighten Compliance with OECD Rules

Marking the upcoming 40th anniversary of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the nongovernmental organization OECD Watch has called for governments to strengthen their national contact points, which seek to resolve complaints against businesses under the Guidelines, by sanctioning companies that refuse to participate.

British PM Seeks Global Anti-Corruption Agency

The Guardian reports that, at a summit on countering corruption hosted by British Prime Minister David Cameron, the UK Government will push for the establishment of a global anti-corruption agency that would exchange information to help law enforcement authorities detect and prevent corruption and tax evasion.
