The European Parliament has approved a trade deal with Singapore that, according to the body, includes bolstered environmental and labor protections and creates an investment court with independent judges that replaces, in the words of one legislator, the “toxic” dispute system currently in place between Singapore and EU members.

WEF Launches Project on “Transformation” of Civil Society Sector

The World Economic Forum (WEF) has announced that it is launching a project seeking to prepare civil society groups for the “transformation” caused by what it calls the “Fourth Industrial Revolution” by drawing their attention to such issues as “responsible digital transformation for social impact” and “group data and human rights.”
