UN Initiatives Push for SDG Education in Business Schools

At a dinner hosted at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, the UN Global Compact and Principles for Responsible Management Education called for business and management schools to "sensitize" students to "values like sustainability and responsibility" and include in their curricula lessons on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

OECD Highlights New Signatories to Treaty on Corporate Tax

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is touting the recent signature of its Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) Multilateral Convention by six governments, bringing to 78 the total number of jurisdictions that have signed the instrument aimed at amending bilateral tax treaties to combat tax avoidance by multinational corporations.

Colombia Faces First Latin American Climate Lawsuit

The nongovernmental organization Dejusticia is supporting what it calls the first climate-change litigation in Latin America in the form of a lawsuit filed by Colombian youth demanding that their government respect their "rights to a healthy environment, life, health, food, and water" by halting deforestation of the Colombian Amazon rain forest.
