OECD Meeting Ramps up Action on Tax Avoidance

Countries meeting in Cameroon at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's (OECD) Global Forum on tax transparency agreed to support the EU's efforts to penalize so-called "tax havens" and to require annual "implementation reports" and "peer reviews" on countries' efforts to prevent corporate tax avoidance.

UN Pushes Businesses on Gender Equality Targets

WEF Launches Initiative on "For-Benefit" Organizations

The World Economic Forum (WEF) recently announced the launch of the Fourth Sector Development Initiative to promote the growth of "for-benefit" corporations that go beyond the traditional profit-making objective to "take responsibility for the well-being of their stakeholders" and help achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
