Investors Push for Extension of Bangladesh Factory Accord

The Bangladesh Investor Initiative, organized by the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility to promote an agreement signed by global fashion brands on fire and building safety in Bangladesh, has published a call for these brands to sign up to a three-year extension of the accord making them responsible for paying for factory safety in the country.
OHCHR Releases Report on Israeli Settlements List

The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has released a report on the methodology it has used to identify over 200 companies that "facilitate" or "profit from" Israeli settlements in Palestinian territories, warning it may not be possible for companies to comply with the global business and human rights agenda when operating in this region.
New Orleans Resolution Calls for Review of Rights Impacts

A group of nongovernmental organizations has published a letter to the New Orleans City Council praising its adoption of a resolution that in part provides for the creation of a system to review its investments in and partnerships with companies on the basis of their respect of the global business and human rights agenda.
