According the environmental activist organization Greenpeace, in December, the Philippines' Commission on Human Rights held a meeting at which it decided how to proceed with the investigation of several major energy companies for "human rights" violations related to their contributions to global warming and major weather events.

Analysis Roots out Gaps in EU Non-Financial Reporting

Law organization Frank Bold has published an analysis of the implementation of the EU Non-Financial Reporting Directive in the UK, France, Germany, and Italy, finding that, while the new rules have extended corporate non-financial reporting in each country, governments must be clearer about which data is "material" and must therefore be included in reports.

Report Tracks Progress of EU Corporate Reporting

Facebook Responds to Global Pressure on Tax Revenue

Politico reports that, as EU and international bodies ramp up pressure on technology companies to pay their "fair share" of taxes to governments of countries in which they offer their services, Facebook has announced that it will pay taxes for advertising revenue in the countries in which its relevant sales offices are located.
