The UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has announced its support of a "summer school" in Germany in July that will seek to further the UN's agenda on eliminating the production of certain types of plastics by bringing together government authorities and others to learn about the effects of plastic litter in marine ecosystems.
