NGOs Call for EU Conflict Mineral Mandates

A group of nongovernmental organizations has published a letter arguing that current proposals for EU legislation on business use of "conflict minerals" from war-torn areas of Africa contravene global standards and calling on the bloc to impose due-diligence requirements on businesses that might use such minerals.
