Paper Calls for BHR "Due Diligence" Requirements in German Law

A study published by policy organization Friedrich Ebert Stiftung calls for Germany to account for the introduction, through the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights ("BHR"), of due diligence requirements into international human rights law by requiring the reporting of such due diligence by businesses in their cross-border operations.

UN Agent Launches "Environmental Rights" Database

UN Special Rapporteur on human rights and the environment and Wake Forest Law Professor John Knox has launched a searchable database of over 100 best practices in using the international human rights agenda to influence environmental policy, including business regulation, around the world.
