EU Demands Nutrition Labeling from Alcohol Industry

The European Commission has called on the alcoholic beverages industry to develop in the next year Europe-wide standards for the labeling of such beverages with ingredients and nutritional information, warning that if EU regulators find these standards unsatisfactory, they will launch an "impact assessment" to review mandatory proposals.
