France: Tens of Thousands March against ‘Health Pass’ for Third Straight Weekend

Thousands of people protested in Paris and other French cities for the third strait weekend against a mandatory coronavirus health pass for entry to a wide array of public venues, introduced by the government, with an interior ministry official stating that 204,090 had demonstrated across France, including 14,250 in Paris alone, 40,000 more than the previous week.

Italian MP Chased Out of Parliament by Security for Protesting Green Pass

Following the Italian government’s announcement that from August 6 people must present proof of immunity or vaccination to access various services and leisure activities, an Italian MP protested the decision by holding a « NO GREEN PASS » poster and was quickly chased out of parliament by security officials.

Poland’s PM Wants Accord with EU on Law and Judiciary

Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, in an interview for the pro-government Republika TV, stated that his government appreciates EU membership and needs to smooth out relations with Brussels, adding he wants to reach “some kind of accord” with the European Union amid a standoff over the way Poland’s government has sought to discipline judges and other judicial changes.
