Politico reports that officials from the new British Government, which took office following the UK's vote to leave the EU, are considering as part of their Brexit policy a departure from Europol, an EU law enforcement agency that, beginning in 2017, will be overseen by the European Parliament and will gain more authority to fight terrorism.

A Bloomberg profile of the "red lines" countries have stated they will not cross in permitting the UK to maintain access to the EU's "single market," including maintaining the principle of free movement of labor, demonstrates a potentially complex, country-by-country approach the UK would have to take in negotiating a post-Brexit trade deal with the bloc.

Expert: EU Will Insist on Free Movement in UK Trade Deal

The Guardian reports that former EU Ambassador to the World Trade Organization, Roderick Abbott, has predicted that the EU and UK will sign a post-Brexit trade deal within two years but that the bloc will likely not accept limits to free movement of labor in exchange for Britain's access to the EU "single market."

Swiss Party Official Opposes Closer EU Ties

Reuters reports that, as Swiss Government officials negotiate a "framework treaty" that would result in closer institutional ties with the EU, Christoph Blocher, Vice-President of the Swiss People's Party, has warned of the sovereignty implications of subordinating Swiss institutions to EU institutions, regulations, and courts.
