     The Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s (OIC) 8th Halal Summit held recently in Turkey pointed to the expanding impact of the $7 trillion worldwide economy of sharia-compliant/compatible (halal) products across myriad sectors—including food, tourism, cosmetics, medicine—and also revealed the steady integration of non-Muslim-majority countries in the West, which are the largest manufacturing countries of halal products.
