UN Officials: "New Propulsion Revolution" Needed to Address "Environmental Disaster" Created by Maritime Emissions

Isabelle Durant, Deputy Head of the UN Conference on Trade and Development ("UNCTAD") has informed the Global Maritime Forum that, if emissions from the maritime industry are not cut, "an environmental disaster" will occur, with the UN shipping agency spokesperson, Lee Adamson, adding that the maritime industry needs a zero-emissions "new propulsion revolution."

German Court Rejects Greenpeace-Funded Climate Change Lawsuit

A Berlin Administrative court has thrown out a lawsuit filed by three farming families who, supported by Greenpeace, filed a lawsuit against Germany claiming that it is not doing enough to tackle climate change, with harm to their farms resulting from man-made global warming.
