NGOs Pressure UN Rights Chief on Israeli Settlements Database

A group of nongovernmental organizations has published a letter calling on UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet to follow through on plans to create an online database of businesses operating in Israeli settlements for the purpose of NGO-organized boycotts of and pressure on such companies.

WHO Calculates Health Benefits of Climate Action

The UN’s World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a press release concluding that the up-front costs of global “climate action” as set out in the UN’s Paris climate accord is only half the value of the health gains the WHO predicts as a result of these policies, claiming that the Paris deal is “potentially the strongest health agreement of this century.”

UNESCO Body Adopts SDG Agenda Items for Teachers
