OECD Chief Seeks Use of Global Forum on Steel Disputes

Following the announcement of US plans to raise tariffs on steel and aluminum imports, Secretary-General of the Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Angel Gurría called on steel-producing countries to use the Global Forum on Steel Excess Capacity as a "cooperative" avenue for resolving disputes over steel production and trade.

The Express reports that former UN staffer Miranda Brown recently published a letter asserting that the UN fired her due to her exposure of a sex-abuse scandal in the international organization's peacekeeping system and warning that the UK is currently contributing to the salaries of UN staff involved in an exchange of aid for sexual favors.

OECD Calls on Chile to Use Social Spending to Reduce Inequality
