UN Agent: Israel Is Violating Health Rights of Palestinians

UN Special Rapporteur Michael Lynk has issued a report blaming Israel for a "profound breach of its responsibility" to provide for a right to health in "occupied" Palestinian territories and pointing to the impact of Israel's presence in these territories on the mental health of Palestinians as evidence that Israel must withdraw its forces from these areas.

UN Launches Global Network of Judges

The UN launched an initiative to connect members of the judiciary worldwide to "strengthen judicial cooperation between courts and tribunals from different legal and cultural traditions" and learn to guard against corruption and incursions on judicial independence.

China Initiates WTO Dispute over US Tariffs

China recently requested World Trade Organization (WTO) dispute consultations over US tariffs on steel and aluminum, charging that these tariffs are inconsistent with provisions of the WTO instruments.
