UN Agent Calls for Lifting of Iran Sanctions

Arguing that current economic sanctions on Iran have caused violations of Iranians' human rights, including to food, health, and development, UN Special Rapporteur on human rights and international sanctions Idriss Jazairy has praised the Iran nuclear deal and has called for the deal to lead to the immediate removal of sanctions on the country.

AI Seeks Comprehensive Reporting Under Arms Treaty

Amnesty International ("AI") has expressed alarm at proposals by the Conference of States Parties under the recently adopted Arms Trade Treaty to limit reporting of arms transfer information and has called for adoption of "comprehensive and transparent reporting requirements" for countries subject to the treaty.
