Vatican Rejects Skeptics of UN Agenda in Developing Climate Message

The Washington Post reports that while the Vatican invited UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and others who support global action on climate change to a 2015 summit in preparation of the drafting of Pope Francis's encyclical on the topic, it rejected scientists who are skeptical of the concept of man-made climate change.

In a new report, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization blames globalization, food marketing, and shifting lifestyles for the move away from the traditional, healthy "Mediterranean diet," a change that may result in either malnutrition or obesity and may thus cause "disability and death."
