Elliott Abrams of the Council on Foreign Relations writes that the International Criminal Court ("ICC") "degraded itself" to the level of the anti-Israel UN Human Rights Council when its "Pre-Trial Chamber" overruled Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda and told her to reconsider the case of a Turkish vessel attacked during an attempt to break the 2010 Israeli blockade of Gaza.

UN Rapporteur Praises Human Rights Impacts of Iran Deal

UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran Ahmed Shaheed has congratulated the parties to the recent Iran nuclear deal on the "beneficial multiplier effect" he says the deal will have on human rights in the country, especially "the enjoyment of economic, social, and cultural rights" that have been harmed by international sanctions.
